Good grief people. There's another helicopter above carrying it. They have it zoomed in so you can't see it. This is also why you hear the helicopter. They must be using thin cables - OR - they "photo-shopped" the cables out of the picture all together. The rear prop is moving because the helicopter is being pulled through the air pushing wind against it; thus causing little rotation. Note that the rear prop isn't moving as fast as a normal prop would if it were really flying by itself. The upper (big) prop isn't moving as much simply because it's heavier and it would take more wind to move it.

I think it is working on the same principal as the Harrier, that is the thrust of the engine is being ducted through the sidewalls producing the lift.Remember this is a jet engine. The actual blades do not have to be turning.

okay, the noise you can hear is the helicopter FILMING the damn video, that's why you think it's being carried, which it ISN'T because that's stupid; it wouldn't be safe! It's either a stall stunt, has a jet engine in it or the camera has the same refresh rate as the blades.

You have a good point, but due to the bad quality of viewing, it could possibly be a flight sim. You can't really tell with the video quality. It's possible. Or it's a mini toy helicopter, just maybe.

you guys are all off. the rotor blades are going around 24 times a second and the camera is filming at 24 frames a second. the picture that the camera is seeing is the same each time so the blades look like there not moving. the reason that you cant see the exhaust is that the Russian MILL cools and cleans its exhaust before expelling it so heat-seaking missiles cant lock on. and there is no way any other helecopter could ever lift it because it is twice as big as any other in the world. in the end its just a camera trick and some trickey gauge reading.

Your an idget, there is no area fo a helicopter to be suspended like that, and I ran it through my system and it's not shopped. It is possible for a helicopter to do that with a farely weak constant draft, plus, the back propeller will sometimes spin in that manner, but wieght has barely anything to do with the top propellor not spinning, I don't know if the camera is in sync with the roder or if the helicopter is doing the possible manuever, but the top roder would spin in barely any draft, it's designed to keep the heli dropping slowly in case of engine falure.
