technically it's not perpetual. there's no such thing as perpetual motion as far as we have discovered. it just doesn't exist. this is close but magnets do die eventually.
and i'm for it. it would solve many of the problems we have now. but it could easily be bought out by the oil companies or the government itself because it decreases the need for money. and i don't know if you guys noticed but right now our stock market is falling. what do you think is gonna happen when we switch to ethanol? the farmers will be the new oil barons. what happens once the globe heats up to the point where we can't produce crops in our own soil? Oil is the tainted blood of the country. it is a cancer and most likely malignant.
